At a recent baby shower at Stone Ashe Vineyards in Hendersonville, NC, Kate, the mother-to-be flipped the usual script. Instead of simply receiving, she wanted to give something back to the people who had shown up for her — a handcrafted coffee experience, served with care, as a thank you to her guests.
That was the plan, anyway.

Our job was not to compete with any of that. It was to complement it.
We set up our espresso bar within the celebration space, styled to match the refined, romantic feel of the day. Fresh espresso, steamed milk, and a full menu of handcrafted drinks — lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, chai, and more — served throughout the shower.
The cart looked like it belonged there. And within minutes, it felt like it had always been part of the plan.
A Thank You Gift That Became a Gathering Place
The mother-to-be envisioned the coffee cart as her gift to her guests. A way of saying: thank you for celebrating with me, thank you for being my people.
And it was that. But baby showers have a familiar rhythm — small clusters of conversation, some guests who know each other well, and others meeting for the first time.
The coffee cart changed that rhythm.
Guests wandered over to explore the menu. They lingered while their drinks were made. Coworkers met cousins, siblings met neighbors, and mothers exchanged stories.
